Cleaning up after bat removal

There’s more to it than you think…

Why is bat guano harmful?

Histoplasmosis is caused by a fungus. The disease is transmitted to humans by airborne fungus spores from soil contaminated by bat droppings .

What are the symptoms of Histoplamosis

Acute histoplasmosis appears 2 to 4 weeks after exposure or earlier if the exposure is heavy. The most common symptoms of acute histoplasmosis are:

  • Fever and chills, flu-like illness
  • Headaches
  • Muscle pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Shortness of breath
  • Dry cough
  • Chest pain
  • Fatigue

Most symptoms resolve in few weeks. If the exposure heavy, your condition may worsen into respiratory failure which may be life-threatening.

How we make your home safe again.

Our state licensed technicians, are properly trained in safety measures needed to protect themselves and your family during the cleanup process. It starts with proper safety clothing and respirators, as well as eye protection. Second we must remove all affected soffits and fascia from the structure to gain access. We then use hospital grade disinfectants and anti-viruses to soak the guano and make it benign, followed by pressure washing the affected areas with a degreaser and deodorizer. After our technicians finish your home will look and smell great again. Most importantly you wont have to worry about getting ill from the long removed bats.
