If you're hearing scratching, scampering, or thumps overhead, something has moved into your attic. Free inspections, and the exclusion work is warrantied.
Tell us what you're hearing — we'll tell you what it is.
The time of day you hear noise is the single best clue to what's up there. This is where we start every inspection — and it points you to the right service page for details.
| When you hear it | What it sounds like | Most likely |
|---|---|---|
| After dark | Fast, light scampering; scratching; gnawing | Roof rats → |
| Daytime (dawn & dusk) | Quick scurrying, rolling sounds like something dropping | Squirrels → |
| Night, heavy | Slow, heavy movement; thumps; vocal chatter | Raccoons → |
| Dusk, near a vent | Rustling, squeaking, or chittering at a gable or soffit | Bats → |
Not sure? That's normal — the sounds overlap, and homeowners guess wrong all the time. That's what the free inspection is for. We confirm the species before we recommend anything.
Bats are protected under Florida law, and the FWC prohibits exclusion during maternity season, April 16 through August 14. During that window, flightless pups are in the roost — sealing the adults out would trap the young inside to die, which is both illegal and inhumane. If you have bats, the timing of the work is set by the calendar, not just your schedule — here's what that means for your home.
Removal is only step two of four. Skipping the others is why the problem comes back for a lot of homeowners.
We confirm the species and find every entry point — roof to foundation — and show you photos.
Trapping and removal with no poison, so nothing dies inside your walls or attic.
Every gap sealed with chew-proof material so the next animal can't follow the same route in.
Contaminated insulation removed, attic sanitized and restored. Exclusion warrantied in writing.
Attic wildlife isn't only a noise problem. The longer it stays, the more it costs.
Once the animals are out and the entry points are sealed, the attic still holds what they left behind — contaminated insulation, droppings, and the scent trail that draws the next one in. Our attic restoration removes and replaces contaminated insulation, sanitizes and deodorizes the space, and restores it to a clean, sealed, properly-insulated condition. Call (321) 622-2225In Brevard County it's most often roof rats or squirrels, sometimes raccoons, and occasionally bats. Time of day is the biggest clue: fast, light scampering after dark is usually roof rats; daytime activity, especially early morning and dusk, is usually squirrels; heavy, slow movement and thumps at night point to raccoons; and a rippling, chittering sound near a gable or soffit at dusk suggests bats. A free inspection confirms which it is.
It depends on the calendar. Florida's FWC prohibits bat exclusion during maternity season, April 16 through August 14, because flightless pups are in the roost and sealing the adults out would trap the young inside. Outside that window we can exclude bats; during it, we assess the situation, address any immediate safety concerns, and schedule the exclusion for the earliest legal date.
Through a gap most homeowners can't see from the ground — a separated soffit, an unscreened or corroded vent, an open roof return, a fascia joint, or a utility penetration. Roof rats need only a nickel-sized hole. We find every opening during the inspection and show you photos.
Yes. Removal alone is temporary — if the entry points stay open, the next animal moves in. We remove what's there, seal every opening with chew-proof material, then clean and restore the attic. The exclusion work is warrantied.
Yes. Droppings, urine, and contaminated insulation carry health risks and attract the next animal with scent. We remove contaminated insulation, sanitize the space, and restore it as part of the job.
